Replacing RAM 5

3 Replacing RAM

To replace RAM:

1. Remove the power adapter, pedestal and side cover . For more information see, section

‘Removing the Pedestal and Side Cover’ on page 3.

Note: If the RAM is fixed using glue, apply isopropyl alcohol on the glue holding the RAM,

pull the glue out using the nose pliers.

2. Unlock the clip on either side of the RAM, by pushing it sideways simultaneously.

3. Remove the existing RAM from the socket by pulling it outward.

4. Insert the new RAM in the socket.

Note: Ensure that the new RAM is of the same dimensions as the existing RAM.

5. Press the RAM downwards until the clip at each end of the socket lock into position.
